June featured sunny mornings and afternoon showers, with warm water temperatures around 82°F (28°C), ideal for various fish species.
Inshore Fishing
Inshore fishing was productive, with catches of roosterfish, snapper, and jacks. The highlights included:
Roosterfish: Common catches ranged from 20 to 50 pounds.
Snapper: Plentiful near structures, both cube and red snapper.
Jacks: Crevalle jacks, typically 10 to 20 pounds.
Offshore Fishing
Offshore fishing yielded a variety of aquatic species:
Sailfish: They are not as high in numbers as in previous months, but they are still present, with some hook-ups reported.
Marlin: A few blue and black marlins were reported, with only occasional sightings.
Yellowfin Tuna: Abundant, with catches from 30 to 100 pounds.
Dorado (Mahi-Mahi): Consistent, averaging 20 to 30 pounds.
